Flyon Helicopters are the largest provider of Helicopter Marine Pilot Transfer Services for the AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority) compulsory area of Hydrographers Passage.
Flyon commenced operations in Mackay on the 1st December 2016 following the award of a marine pilot transfer contract by Torres Pilots.
Torres Pilots have been providing marine pilot services for vessels transiting the AMSA compulsory pilotage area of Hydrographers Passage for over 30 years.
In reviewing their Helicopter marine pilot transfer (HMPT) requirements, Torres Pilots sought to engage with an aviation provider that could provide a safe, reliable and cost effective 24/7 service for their marine pilotage operations.
